During the height of the pandemic, I was working in a pediatric emergency department. As we navigated the rapidly changing direction from our governmental and organizational leaders, we also met countless families who came to us with heightened anxieties and worries with their sick children. I will forever be grateful for my team in the emergency department and would not be where I am today without them. Throughout it all, they were the very definition of flexibility, persistence, and hope.
